Hilo, Hawaii
We’ve been hearing great things about Hilo, on the northeastern side of Hawaii. Filled with rain forests, black sand beaches, and its very own volcano, this side of the island is known more for its natural resources than posh resorts. Try staying at a family-friendly bed-n-breakfast or a house rental for a more laid back experience.
