Heart Warrior Stories Clement T.

During my 20-week anatomy scan, the doctor noticed that Clement’s heart did not look like a normal developing heart. I was referred to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles where I received and fetal echocardiogram. He was diagnosed with a severe case of TOF with Mapcas and a VSD. After he was born he was transferred to the Cardiothoracic intensive care unit. A week after being born he went into distress and required to be intubated. He was then diagnosed with Digeorge syndrome as well. He received various categorizations, blood transfusions, and monthly admissions to the hospital. He was on oxygen for an entire year. He recurved his first open-heart surgery a month before turning one. Fast forward to 8 months, he had a stroke due to a blood clot in his heart. We spent 55 days in rehab and our final home with 9 sessions of therapy a week. His joinery has been long but he’s shown his true strengths. He is a warrior.
