After a long day with your kiddos, sometimes a mama just wants to Netflix and chill. And in this case, we actually mean chill (hee hee). Motherhood is exhausting, and some days there is no better feeling than to kick back on the couch with a glass of wine and your favorite TV series. There is so much content on television these days, however. Whether you’re a reality TV show junkie or dedicated to Dateline NBC, between network television and all the various streaming services out there, well, it’s kind of overwhelming to figure out with what to watch. Never fear! We’ve surveyed the latest Netflix shows that capture #momlife in a way that’s hilarious, heartwarming and completely relatable. Here’s a few of our favorites:

Workin’ Moms

This Canadian TV show follows the lives of four moms as they return to work after maternity leave while navigating kids, bosses, love and life in modern-day Toronto. From asking the grandparents to babysit to dealing with postpartum depression, the mom friends experience the realities of life after giving birth. We love the heart behind this show, and the feelings that each mom have about returning to work (from sadness to elation) are spot on!

Gilmore Girls

First airing in 2000, Gilmore Girls has developed something of a cult following, so the fact that it’s back once again on Netflix is a very big deal! Re-live all your favorite moments as Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) and her daughter, Rory (Alexis Bledel) manage family and friendship in Connecticut, in a town populated by an eclectic mix of dreamers, artists and everyday folk. Lorelai owns the town’s bed-and-breakfast with best friend Sookie, and every week, contends with weekly dinners with eccentric, well-off parents Richard and Emily Gilmore (who always have something to say about their daughter’s life). And who can forget Lorelai and Rory’s continual stream of quick-witted banter? Check it out if you missed it the first time around!

Parenthood

Back with another Lauren Graham hit, because I guess we love her. If you missed Parenthood when it was on network television, or just want to watch it again, prepare yourself for lots of family drama, ups and downs and a whole lot of heart. We just love the family relationships in this show!

The Letdown

This Australia-based show centers around Audrey, mother of a 2-month-old, who joins a new-parents support group. Needless to say, hilarity ensues, as only it can with new motherhood. Throw in some quirky mom friends, facing various challenges and life changes, and you’ll be calling your bestie after the show is over!

Ali Wong: “Hard Knock Wife” comedy special

Two years after the hit “Baby Cobra,” comedian and actress Ali Wong (have you seen the fantastic “Always Be My Maybe” yet?) is back with another hilarious comedy special, which she filmed during her 2nd pregancy. She brings the hilarious truths about marriage and motherhood as only she can. We couldn’t stop laughing!

Amy Schumer: “Growing” comedy special

We love new mama Amy Schumer, and in this comedy special, which she performed while pregnant with her 1st child, Amy spills on her new marriage, personal growth, making a baby and her mom’s misguided advice along the way. Only Amy can be both raunchy and heartwarming at the same time!
