Kinsley Elliana was born with a complex heart defect. We received her diagnosis in utero and were lucky to deliver her at a specialty hospital with a whole team prepared for her arrival. By the time she was 24 hours old, she had already undergone her first open heart surgery – what a warrior! Kinsley was fierce and feisty from the day she was born, she met the challenges laid out in front of her head on – with lots of love and support from her family and friends! One of her favorite comfort items during her stay in the CVICU was her collection of WubbaNubs! Kinsley grew and thrived for 130 days, showing us her sassy personality and a big, beautiful kind of love! Unfortunately, one day shy of her discharge date, Kinsley’s heart stopped beating and despite her team’s best efforts, she passed away. Her life was short, but it was full of love and meaning. Her legacy lives on in acts of kindness and advocacy done in her honor. We are so proud to have our own little heart hero!
