My son was diagnosed with HLHS when I was 23 weeks pregnant. He was born at 38 weeks and had his first cardiac surgery two days later. He has since had two additional open-heart surgeries, three heart catheterizations, and countless other procedures and crazy complications. He had a major oral aversion coming into his most recent open-heart surgery but took to a WubbaNub provided to him by a nurse once he was awake. He has been hooked ever since! He just turned 6 months old and has been back home with us for two weeks – he is living and thriving and loving his Wubs. :)
