We found out that our son had a rare Congenital Heart Defect in my 20 weeks ultrasound. Because of COVID, I was in the room while my husband was in the car on FaceTime. What should have been a happy day turned into one of the scariest days we have ever had. Christopher was born on 9/3/2020 and had his open heart surgery on 9/9/2020. He has already proven to us already that he is a strong, courageous, and resilient lil’ baby. Christopher‘s surgery to correct his Transposition of the Great Arteries and patch his VSD was successful and we are forever thankful to his surgical and cardiology care team Our heart warrior loves his WubbaNubs and we are thrilled to add the Heart Warrior to his growing collection. We cannot wait to drop off some extra WubbaNubs that we purchase to other CHD babies at Randall’s Children’s Hospital.
